Video marketing is driving sales for logistics giant

Marketing & PR Manager Michelle Newton said: “We felt that some of our existing customers were not fully aware of our complete on board logistics offering and, as well as bringing these services together for them, we wanted to promote them more effectively to the market in general.

“We enlisted the expertise of Quiet Storm at the very start of the project. It started off as quite a small idea but has evolved into an exciting new marketing campaign. We are really pleased with how Quiet Storm produced the video and have high hopes for its success as it is a very flexible marketing tool and makes it easy for customers to understand our capability in this area. It can be viewed from our website and we plan to promote it further using social media. We will also be sending out a mailshot inviting people to view the video on our YouTube channel.

The video has been linked to the company’s website and will also form the basis of a direct marketing campaign.

Michelle Newton added: “Historically with corporate videos we have simply used voice over’s and music but this time Quiet Storm suggested using a model, speaking direct to camera to explain our services. The film features many of our sites and our people and has been very well received.

“Using our staff in the video has been a great success and our teams are very excited about showing it to customers. We also plan to reinforce the message in the video by creating supplementary material such as a brochure.”

Quiet Storm filmed at various locations including Manchester Airport, Heathrow Airport, Euston Station and at Norbert Dentressangle warehouses. The actress used to narrate the story was filmed against a green screen backdrop to enable location film to be superimposed in the background. Company employees were filmed carrying out their normal work to emphasise the importance of Norbert Dentressengle people and their quality of service.

Corporate videos can be used in a multitude of ways. As well as being a powerful sales tool they make can bring added life to conferences and training sessions. Norbert Detressangle created their own YouTube channel and have uploaded the video to give them added flexibility. YouTube videos can be public or can be unlisted so that viewers require the specific link to be able to see them. This link can be embedded in a website or can be sent to invited viewers via email, e-marketing or traditional paper mailshots.
