However, as JTS’s business grew, producing the brochure became more time consuming. Karen was hesitant to outsource brochure production to a design or marketing company, her concerns were partly letting go of control coupled with the potential high cost of having the brochure produced professionally.
When asked about how she felt about using a marketing company to professionally produce her new brochure, Karen said:
"I decided to investigate outsourcing as an option and Quiet Storm were recommended to me by a friend, Adam Ball of J A Ball New Homes. At the initial meeting with Quiet Storm I explained my concerns and I was immediately put at ease. Having looked at previous JTS brochures and those of our competitors, Quiet Storm immediately came up with several good ideas on what could be done to improve the new brochure. They provided a full quote before any work started so that I knew and understood what costs would be involved.
The big surprise was the cost, it was less expensive than I had imagined and the print was actually less than I had paid for the previous year.
Once I had placed the order their designers provided me with several visuals for the cover and spreads. The way they had thought about the brochure and how it should be used as a selling tool came through – the products were organised so that the key information was clear without losing the look and feel I wanted to achieve.
Quiet Storm even suggested we incorporate a page dedicated to explaining the benefits of the JTS brand, with the guarantees we offer on all our garments. I was so pleased with the new look I decided to let them have a go at modernising our logo.
The brochure was produced on time, on budget and was an altogether painless process for me. It freed me up to concentrate on the areas of the business where I could have a greater impact.
The feedback from our dealers has been terrific, they all agree the brochure is much better laid out and is of an altogether higher quality.
Ultimately the most important thing is we are getting more sales as people now have greater access to the information they need to make a purchase.
I honestly thought it would be more expensive, the dealers love it, sales are up and the finished quality of the brochure projects JTS Biker as a quality brand, I believe our brochure is the best in our market."
