The idea was based on wheels sometimes used by paint companies to show what colours will work together in a room. But could a design house achieve the same effect for garden containers?
Pbi’s publicists, Derby-based Paskett PR, approached Quiet Storm with the question, and, of course, the answer was yes!
A mobile wheel on the front of the Garden Creator that has been designed by Quiet Storm Solutions Ltd. allows users to select the main colour they want for their container and it then shows them harmonious colours and a contrasting one to create an overall scheme.
But Paskett PR wanted the glossy on-card document to provide much more than colour information, as Joanne Baggott from the company explained.
"We were looking for the item to help novice gardeners by providing information on plant options, suitable locations for them and how to care for them, as well as information on appropriate colour combinations.
"What is more, we wanted to deliver this information in an easy to understand format within something that was easy to use" Joanne said.
"Although we knew basically what we were looking for, we did work in close collaboration with Quiet Storm to achieve all of our aims.
"And it works very well, not only for novice gardeners looking at their first hanging basket or container, but for more experienced gardeners too. We are very pleased with the Phostrogen Colour Wheel."
The wheel is to be offered as a give-away in regional press around the country and will also be available at garden centers.
