Driving client success for more than 30 years

We are celebrating more than three decades in business this year with a change of direction and some exciting new plans to deliver even more value to our trusted and valued clients.

We’ve been in business since 1987 and online since 1995, helping our clients to achieve success by developing bespoke business solutions, which combine creativity with cutting-edge technology, to boost their online presence, increase sales and revolutionise their sales, marketing and business operations.

We launched our first award-winning ecommerce website in 1999 and since then, have worked on a host of exciting projects with some major brands including food manufacturer Muller, electronics giant LG, the International Paralympics Committee, NHS Trusts, Chambers of Commerce and a host of commercial clients of all sizes, from a wide range of sectors.

This year, we’ve invested in our team and are working with several specialist strategic partners to redefine our offer to clients, providing business solutions and web applications which simplify processes and optimise results.

What does Quiet Storm do?

That’s a question we get asked a lot.

The solutions we provide can often be quite complicated, but the core of what we do is really simple.

We provide solutions which help our clients achieve their objectives.

We've been doing this since 1987, so there have been lots of changes.

Strategy for marketing, sales and communications is based upon understanding people. We’ve seen lots of trends and fads come and go over the years, but the psychology hasn't changed too much.

Our solutions are tailored to the specific results our clients need, with training to optimise effectiveness and the tools to accurately measure success.

We provide the business know-how, technical competence and imagination to create new ways of improving long-term business growth and maximising the return on your investment.

30 years of history

A lot has changed in the business world since we started in 1987.

Email and the internet didn’t exist and digital technology was in its infancy.

We’ve seen at first hand how such technology has changed the way we do business, and have been pioneering in the way we have approached it to drive success for our clients.

We created our first commercial website, for Christian Salvesen plc, in 1997 and  by 1999, were creating award-winning websites for clients like www.moveyourpallet.com, which enabled businesses to book and pay for transportation of palletised goods throughout the UK.

In 2001, we developed a ground-breaking intranet for use in the NHS and two years later, helped LG to design its new showroom and launch it to independent retailers.

In 2009, we launched Storming®, a range of products based on our own proprietary methodology, which provides clients with a quick, efficient and cost-effective way to implement websites, online and direct mail campaigns and brochures, SEO and Google Adwords which are guaranteed to deliver results. Storming® products was a runner-up in the hotly-contested innovation category at the 2011 Family Business Awards.

A year later, we launched Love Business, the region’s biggest and best pure B2B conference and expo, which attracts thousands of delegates, hundreds of exhibitors and dozens of high-profile sponsors and key partners every year.

The event goes from strength-to-strength.

Looking back… and looking forward

Reflecting on more than three decades of successfully helping our clients to achieve their business dreams, Steve Megson, our founder and Managing Director, said: “We’ve always been an innovative company and our strengths lie in being able to quickly diagnose the right solution to the challenges our clients present us with.

“Our clients’ success has come through the integration of our communications, sales and marketing applications, which help them to make smarter, faster business decisions.

“Our track record speaks for itself and three decades on, we still aim to make a measurable difference to all the clients we engage with, from a simple phone enquiry right the way up to Board level.”
