Two minute video sells new product to cash and carry customers

Fresh food specialist AB Produce was about to launch its range of prepared vegetables in the stores of a major nationwide wholesaler. When a promotion idea was urgently needed that would grab the attention of cash and carry customers a point of sale video display proved to be the perfect solution.

AB Produce PLC has built a reputation for quality for processing, packing and distributing potatoes and other fresh vegetables. The company operates from state-of-the-art facilities on a 14 acre site in Measham, Leicestershire and serves the UK wholesale, retail, processing, catering and food service supply chain.

Operations Director Martin McQuaide explained: “We had just brought a major cash and carry chain on board and were launching our prepared fresh vegetables in their stores. They had never stocked products like this before so we wanted to explain the concept and show customers how we achieve such high quality. We decided that a short and energetic video presentation would work well and asked Quiet storm to create it for us before the launch event in only seven days time.”

The brief called for a 1½ – 2 minute video that would mix footage of operational activity at the company’s 70,000 sq ft premises with shots of the products and the fleet of refrigerated vehicles. Quiet Storm’s On Show team met the challenge of working to a tight timescale and turned around the project in under one week. The finished 2 minute film includes captions, a music track and animated opening and closing graphic sequences.

Martin added: “We are really pleased with the result, we think it’s great. As well as using the video presentation for its intended purpose in the cash and carry outlets we are finding it invaluable at trade shows and other events and launches.”
