New format, new look newsletter receives great feedback for NYK Logistics

NYK has a varied product offering, a diverse customer list and 4,500 employees spread over 40 sites in the UK. Making sure that they are all kept informed on the progress of the organisation, understand and can embrace the changes taking place is a huge challenge which ‘Forward’, the company’s employee newsletter, has passed with flying colours.

NYK Logistics is a global provider of integrated supply chain solutions, offering a unique combination of services, supported by sea, air, road and rail resources and a worldwide network of over 110 large-scale storage, consolidation and distribution centres.

Supported by the $16 billion NYK group, NYK Logistics has developed a wide range of supply chain expertise by working with blue chip clients within the fmcg, retail, consumer electronics, grocery, apparel, automotive and pharmaceutical sectors around the world.

As such, there is always a lot going on within the organisation and it is important that individuals within the structure understand the part they play within the bigger picture. The newsletter provides the platform to communicate the latest developments, showcase success stories and recognise and reward achievements, all helping to make the people who work within NYK feel valued.

The newsletter is written and project-managed by Quiet Storm Consultants which, whilst a completely separate company to Quiet Storm Solutions, provides a complementary range of services, focusing on public relations. Having worked together for more than a decade, the combined expertise of our two companies has produced a publication that both informs and engages NYK’s workforce through its clear but informal style and clean, dynamic design.

“The new look, new format employee newsletter has been really well received both within the organisation and outside,” says Claire Sivills, Marketing Manager for NYK.

“We have worked with both Quiet Storm Solutions and Quiet Storm Consultants for many years and their understanding of the marketplace and the issues we face has been invaluable. NYK has undergone many changes during the past 12 months and we recognise the importance in communicating these developments and rewarding the efforts of our employees. It highlights the valuable role they play in delivering a world class logistics service that satisfies the sophisticated needs of our customers.”
