When 3 companies merge consolidating and updating a product catalogue can be a nightmare without the right partner

TAC Satchwell, a merger of Andover Controls, TAC and Satchwell, develops solutions that integrate data collection, information sharing, control systems and energy management for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings around the world. The range of products they offer is vast and the challenge of communicating the whole portfolio to clients, especially those gained through acquisition is no small feat.

Simon Ward, BMS Products Sales Director for TAC Satchwell, had this challenge and it was decided that a consolidated product catalogue would be the most effective solution. Simon needed a company capable of undertaking the whole project, not just the origination and consolidation but supporting the ongoing updates that would be regularly needed. Following discussions with Quiet Storm, Simon was presented with a reinforced ringbinder that could hold up to 500 pages with quick index, heavy duty polyprop pre-printed tab dividers.

The benefits of this solution were that individual products could be updated at anytime and at low cost, it was very robust and it could also be personalised for the TAC Satchwell premier accounts.

The solution was received well by all departments at TAC Satchwell and the work merging of the three existing product guides into the new corporate look was started. With over 330 pages of product information to be created the project was planned with military style precision and a realistic timescale of 18 months set for the delivery of the new product catalogue.

“Working with Quiet Storm on this project made what could have been a nightmare a relatively straight forward job. The importance of getting the new product catalogue right cannot be overstated and the people at Quiet Storm were very professional and easy to work with. They demonstrated an in depth understanding of the issues we faced and the project was delivered on time and on budget.

The feedback we have received from within TAC Satchwell and from our clients has been very positive. The new catalogue presents the information in a clear easy to use format, it’s robust and most essential, it can be quickly updated thanks to Quiet Storms flexible design and their digital print facilities.”
