New image for SMP Autobulbs raises profile and highlights quality

“We didn’t know what we wanted but we were aware of the need for a new look, to keep us up with the industry in which we operate,” General Manager of the Swadlincote company Wayne Crouch said.

Quiet Storm was recommended to SMP directors Sid and Elaine Pennington and they subsequently arranged a meeting at Quiet Storm’s Whitwick base.

“Sid and Elaine chatted with Quiet Storm about where their company has come from, what it does and where it hopes to go in the future,” Wayne said. “Quiet Storm wanted to create a look that took account of these things and that was important to everyone at SMP.”

"There are lots of cheap imports coming on to the market which at first appear to offer good value but they last a fraction of the time the saving is soon lost. We only stock and supply the best quality bulbs and when all things are considered they are the most cost effective solution. We needed our marketing to deliver this message consistently so it was decided that we would start with our logo."

The new logo and corporate image for use on stationery and business cards was created and SMP Autobulbs, which supplies vehicle bulbs to a range of customers from fleet operators and hire firms to individual drivers, is very pleased with the result.

“Our customers and suppliers have noticed and have commented on how much they like the new look, which is just the reaction we were hoping for,” Wayne said.
